The National Medical Admission Test (NMAT) is a standardized entrance examination required for admission into the MD (Doctor of Medicine) program in the Philippines, including at the Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF).
It is a mandatory eligibility test for both Filipino and international students after completing the Pre-Med (BS) Program, and before formally entering the 4-year MD curriculum. At DMSF, we help Indian students understand and succeed in this essential step.
The NMAT is divided into two parts:
| Part | Subjects Covered | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Part I | Verbal, Quantitative, Inductive Reasoning, Perceptual Acuity | Tests mental ability and logical thinking |
| Part II | Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Social Sciences | Tests academic preparation in core sciences |
| Total Questions | 200 | |
| Scoring Range | 200 to 800 | |
| Validity | NMAT score is valid for 2 years | |
No. If you’re enrolling at DMSF as an international student, you are guided and supported throughout the NMAT process. It is not a hurdle but a formal academic requirement after the BS program.
Most Indian students successfully clear NMAT with proper preparation, and it does not affect admission if pursued through authorized partners.
NMAT is typically conducted twice a year, and students can choose the session that fits their BS program timeline.
| Session | Exam Period |

| March-April | Summer Intake |
